Where do they keep Daw Aung San Suu Kyi?

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi told her lawyers that she is not well with motion sickness and therefore she would like to come to the court every fortnight instead of every week. Why? She said that she does have motion sickness. Where do the junta keep her? She was under house arrest at her own residence initially. Then they used substantial force to evict her from that house. That is for two reasons. One is to move her to a location inside the military headquarter and use her as human shield. In addition, they planted some fake evidence such as gold and dollar and took a video during that time inside her house. They will use that as an evidence to back up the claims of Yangon Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein. In order to coerce him, they have arrested his wife Khin Mi Mi Kywe without charges. I also get the information that they will also ask his wife to testify against Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to back up her husband claim. They have threatened to kill her husband if she doesn’t testify like they said. That is directed by newly appointed chief of staff (Army) Lt. Gen Myo Myint Tun and chief of military intelligent Ye Win Oo.

So where do they keep Daw Aung San Suu Kyi now? There are rumours saying that she is inside the deputy commander house inside Naypyidaw military command. That is not true. The first reason is that she is not there. Second reason is the house is not far away from current court. Therefore, that distance is not long enough to cause motion sickness. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi used to travel a lot and she can tolerate for short distance journey. However, she is kept inside the military headquarter and her bungalow is not far away from Min Aung Hlaing’s residence. Her bungalow doesn’t have air-conditioning or any basic need for Head of State. It is not like house arrest and it is just like a prison. The people who lives with her are not allowed to do shopping and food is provided by the junta. As she only eats fish and prawn mainly before, she is now more like vegetarian as the junta doesn’t provide food as she wants. Her bungalow is close to the mountain and high risk for malaria as well. The reason she gets motion sickness is due to the fact that the driver had to avoid driving through normal road and comes from small country lanes. She may not tell about it because the whole country is suffering under the military and she seems to recognise that. This is the reason the junta doesn’t want ASEAN envoy to see her. Another reason is that the junta knows that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi might formally ask indirectly to ASEAN and China to help her government and people by recognising NUG. This is time for China and ASEAN to act and coming off the fence. The junta Min Aung Hlaing is going for utter devastation. It is not too late for China and ASEAN to act and side with people of Myanmar.
